Global Marketing Manager

The purpose of this job is to manage the life cycle of the products and services within the Non-Carbonated Beverages (NCB) markets for our client’s company.

The primary responsibility of the position includes generating growth and value for our client’s existing products and services, as well as creating market demand for new products and services. In addition, this position will create and implement marketing and product plans for the NCB market segment, which includes juices, nectars, isotonics, RTD Teas, RTD coffees and nutriceuticals. The overall scope of this position is global in terms of assessing demands and trends and thus requires corresponding global product profiles and services.

He or she will plan, organize, direct, collaborate and manage resources to:

  • Meet customer requirements to achieve customer satisfaction with existing products and services

  • Define the direction and strategy of the product portfolio within our client’s mission, objectives and policy

This individual is accountable for internal approval and authorization of all NCB market product enhancement and refinements to existing packaging products in the company’s portfolio. The Global Marketing Manager is a member of the Global NCB Team, serving the global NCB markets. In this role, the manager represents the marketing function and insures customer needs are understood and met, confirms and updates market assumptions and fulfills all other activities required by the company’s Value Creation Process (VCP). He or she is committed to understanding and the use of the Value Creation Process.

Key Position Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the marketing strategy and objectives of the NCB team is linked to organizational mission and strategy

Must have a high level of financial acumen - must be able to analyze, interpret, and act on raw financial data, as well as create and edit a financial model to evaluate different business scenarios. Extensive experience in packaging industry and/or consumer products. Must demonstrate the application of sound business practices through the knowledge and understanding of internal structures of organizations and how the missions and goals of each functional area work together to support the overall mission and goals of the company. Must be able to work in a matrix organization.

Global Marketing Research Manager

The purpose of this job is to manage marketing research activity throughout our client’s system, with an initial focus on the NCB (Non-Carbonated Beverage) markets as part of our accelerated growth initiative.

The challenge of this position is to work with the six global regions on marketing research initiatives and to assist the regions in developing their own research structures. This includes helping to identify and evaluate syndicated data services and building market intelligence databases for their regions. A secondary objective is to create a primary research supplier base to assist in consumer, customer, competitor, and other marketing research efforts. The position will encompass many different cultures and ways of doing business throughout multiple time zones.

The incumbent will plan, organize, manage and monitor resources to:

  • Identify and forecast customer, consumer, market and industry requirements and trends, enabling strategies to be developed that will lead to enhanced customer satisfaction
  • Maintain databases necessary to track market size, market growth, market shares, customer requirements, profile sales, etc.
  • Develop and implement marketing research plans to support the global business teams, with a primary focus on the NCB global markets during the team's accelerated growth initiative
  • Implement business-to-consumer marketing research practices in our client's business-to-business operating model

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for planning and execution of global marketing research initiatives for the six regions (North America, South America, Europe, MEIA, Asia, and Japan) and three primary product/service areas within our company: closures, capping equipment, and service.
  • Act as a marketing research consultant when assisting regional marketing resources on research activities (sharing of best practices and providing training).

This position will report directly to the Global Marketing Services Lead with dotted line responsibility to the Global Director of NCB Business Development.

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience.  MBA preferred.

Experience

  • Five to ten years marketing research experience in organizations developing the referenced skills. Experience in the packaging industry, the beverage industry, and/or other consumer packaged goods companies preferred. The application of sound business practices through the knowledge and understanding of internal structures of organizations and how the missions and goals of each functional area work together to support the overall mission and goals of the company is mandatory.

The Executive Communication Manager is responsible for all aspects of management and execution of executive presentations, including internal and industry facing speakerships. They must provide stellar customer experiences for all stakeholders by overseeing and organizing all aspects of presentation building, including definition of content, story building and execution of presentations. They will work closely with various stakeholders and vendors and must be able to develop strong relationships. The individual will be responsible for developing influential presentations for our division’s leaders.

Skills/Experience

  • 10-15 years presentation or story building
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills
  • Experience in high tech and / or wireless
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Ability to present and work with executive management
  • Ability to build up and maintain relationships effectively
  • Ability to deal with fast-paced changes

Responsibilities

  • Strategic presentation development for executives
  • Spearhead visionary and dynamic presentations for senior executives
  • Understand with the ability to communicate high level industry and / or corporate visions and trends
  • Experience collaborating and presenting to senior executives in the high tech sector
  • Ability to work across multiple teams to collect content, proof points, and assets to a create a cohesive and compelling story
  • Translate complex and technical data content into digestible information for various audiences including industry partners, financial and industry analysts, and business partners
  • Oversee and manage agencies to creative and design content
  • Ensure a well branded and professional presence at all speaking engagements
  • Development of speakership preparation materials, speaker notes and training
     

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Business Communication or related discipline preferred
